Young at Heart:  The Spirit of Relentless Innovation at Walgreens

Trusted since 1901, Walgreens combines the staying power of a beloved brand with a commitment to continuous improvement. From inventing the Malted Milkshake in 1922, to becoming the first major drug chain to put prescriptions into child-resistant containers (long before it was required by law), to launching drive-thru pharmacies in 1991, Walgreens has a rich tradition of innovation.  Luke Rauch will take us through some of the most dynamic current initiatives Walgreens is undertaking to evolve the business and continue to meet the changing needs of the customer. He’ll describe both organic and inorganic growth scenarios (e.g., Rite Aid, healthcare services), the expanding partnership with FedEx, continued investments in people and technology, and enhanced digital offerings to drive customer engagement, among other topics.
